Child friendly holiday cottages & Spa, France.
La Croix Spa offers you child-friendly French holiday Gites with a spa: a heated floodlit swimming pool, a bubbling hot jacuzzi and a sauna. Beauty treatments are available for mum.
Children can play in 8 acres of secluded grounds. Parents can watch from wherever they are. There is a games room with ping pong, games & toys. We also have an enclosed, shaded children's play park, badminton, croquet & boules. There is a TV, DVD, Hifi & Wifi (Internet) in every cottage.
We can arrange Baby-sitting and all cottages are safe for toddlers. Baby equipment is available.
Activities at the heart of Charente tourism*.
Enjoy the water sports at the nearby Lacs de Haute Charente with sailing, caneoing, windsurfing, sandy beaches, swimming & sun-bathing! Here you will also find restaurants & bars. Play Golf, go mountain biking or fishing. Bungee-jump at the adventure park.
Discover the historic Gallo-Roman baths at Chassenon, visit the Rochechouart meteorite crater or follow the chateau route of Richard the Lionheart.
To occupy a full day, try Futuroscope at Poitiers, France's 3rd most popular attraction. We also offer art tuition.

Self-catering, restaurants, meals delivered to-your-door. The choice is yours!
All cottages are self-catering, but there is also a wide choice of fine local restaurants and evening meals can also be ordered and delivered to your cottage! (Great for your evening of arrival.)
There are many local markets and farm shops offering fresh, delicious local produce. Go wine tasting at St. Sornin, or try a tour of the distilleries at Cognac. We have a full range of local restaurants depending on your tastes and budget. We can also arrange Baby-sitting.

For all the above, our cottage (Gites) accommodation caters for parties from 2 - 24 people and costs between £20 to £40 per room (twin or double), per night according to season and based on a shared cottage. Easy by air - La Croix Spa is 45 minutes from 2 regional airports of Limoges & Angouleme.
- Ryanair flies from Stansted, East Midlands, Liverpool, Bristol, Bournemouth, Edinburgh to Limoges.
- Flybe flies from Southampton to Limoges.
- Ryanair flies from Stansted to Angouleme-Cognac Airport (Summer months only)
- Brit-Air flies from Gatwick to Angouleme-Cognac.
- Ryanair flies from Stansted to Poitiers Airport (Summer months only).
Easy by car - La Croix Spa is 5½ from Caen or 9 hours from Calais
- Take the Dover ferry to Calais (1 hour) and we are a nine hour drive from there.
- Take the Portsmouth ferry to CAEN or St. Malo and we are a 5½ drive from either (add time for stops).
- From more northerly UK ports, take the Zeebrugge ferry. Just 1½ hours further than Calais.
Eurostar
- Eurostar from St Pancras via either Paris or Lille and TGV to Angouleme or Limoges takes 6 - 7 hours.
