Children can play in 18 acres of secluded grounds. Parents can watch from wherever they are. There is a games room with ping pong, games & toys. We also have an enclosed, shaded children's play park, badminton, croquet & boules. There is a TV, DVD, Hifi & Wifi (Internet) in every cottage. Beauty treatments are available.

We can arrange Baby-sitting and all cottages are safe for toddlers. Baby equipment is available.

Enjoy the water sports at the nearby Lacs de Haute Charente with sailing, caneoing, windsurfing, sandy beaches, swimming & sun-bathing! Here you will also find restaurants & bars. Play Golf, go mountain biking or fishing. Bungee-jump at the adventure park.

Discover the historic Gallo-Roman baths at Chassenon, visit the Rochechouart meteorite crater or follow the chateau route of Richard the Lionheart.

Part of the reason for coming to France is to savour the cuisine! At La Croix Spa you have every option. All cottages are fully-equipped self-catering, but there is also a wide choice of fine local restaurants. Evening meals can also be ordered and delivered to your cottage! (Great for your evening of arrival.) We can also arrange fully catered events through Bebus catering.

There are many local markets and farm shops offering fresh, delicious local produce. Go wine tasting at St. Sornin, or try a tour of the world-famous distilleries at Cognac. We have a full range of local restaurants depending on your tastes and budget.

For all the above, our cottage (Gites) accommodation caters for parties from 2 - 25 people and costs between £20 to £40 per room (twin or double), per night according to season and based on a shared cottage. Winter breaks at La Croix Spa

For a family Christmas or New Year with a difference, why not come out and celebrate here, at La Croix Spa? Cottages start at £60 a night for a family of 4.

What could be nicer to have the room to house your entire family, cook and eat in one place for your main meals (or separately as you wish) and get that fantastic winter mix of brisk outside activities, coupled with snuggling up warmly back in your cottages.

The Jacuzzi and Sauna are open and hot! You have all the benefits of everything on site here (see "Facilities") and whilst local summer activities are closed, you can still join in with the local Christmas activities and Christmas markets.

The weather is more "Christmassy" over here than in the UK. It is always crisp, and when the sun is out it is beautiful! Everything is covered in the morning with silvery hoar-frost and the ground crackles under-foot.

Even when the sun is not out, the frosty air picks out spiders webs and paints the grass white and the silence is resounding. It is so still.

Inside the cottages we have a mixture of electric heating and log burners (in Baudelaire and Racine). All beds have duvets and extra blankets and the bedroom floors are all carpeted. We warm the cottages up for you well in advance of your arrival.

Our Winter breaks are very popular here with the French, who we have welcomed here for the last five years over the Christmas and New year period.

Our prices are for Mid-Season, as we typically host large parties of people over a short period of time and have to factor-in our energy costs, which are higher in this period than for the summer.

Easter Breaks at La Croix Spa

We have been welcoming guests for Easter holidays at La Croix Spa for eight years now. Prices start at £60 a night for a family of four.

As well as the weather by this time of year being far more advanced than in the UK, most of the local tourist activities have begun to open up again and are certainly open over the Easter weekend.

Our swimming pool will still be shut at this time of year, but the Jacuzzi and Sauna will be open. And whilst it will still be too cold for outdoor watersports on the lakes and rivers, you could do any of the following:

Horse Riding

"Acrobranche" (an adventure park suspended in the trees)

Golf and Fishing

Historical sites (Roman Baths, Oradour Sur Glane, Chateaux)

Monkey Valley (Vallée des singes)

Futuroscope

Half-term getaways at La Croix Spa

For Spring, Summer and Winter half-terms, La Croix Spa offers short breaks for you and the kids to get away for a few days from as little as £60 a night for a family of four.

Nothing easier than to pack a few things (we have the rest here!) and hop on a plane to Limoges airport. Pick up a hire car and we're 40 minutes from there.

There is plenty to do over any of the three half terms through the year and the peace of La Croix Spa and the convenience of all facilities means Mum and Dad can completely unwind.

Whilst the heated pool will not be available for Spring and Autumn half terms, it is available for the Summer and the Jacuzzi and Sauna are available all year. Beauty Treatments also are available all year.

There are plenty of activities to do both on site and in the local area: both indoor and outdoor. These include all La Croix Spa Facilities, and most local activities (see "Activities" link above) are available except the Watersports in Spring and Autumn. All retaurants, bars, historic monuments are open and the local countryside is gorgeous to enjoy in any way you like at any time of theyear.
